《画龙点睛》

Today, I want to tell you a story.

今天我想给大家讲一个故事。

It’s a famous Chinese story. Its name is "Draw a Dragon and Dot the Eyes".

这是一个著名的中国故事，它的名字叫《画龙点睛》。

Long long ago, there was a good painter. His name was Zhang Sengyao.

很久很久以前，有一位很厉害的画家，他的名字叫张僧繇。

He liked to draw dragons. His dragons were very beautiful.

他喜欢画龙，他画的龙非常漂亮。

One day, he drew four dragons on a wall.

有一天，他在一面墙上画了四条龙。

The dragons looked real, but they had no eyes.

这些龙看起来栩栩如生，但是它们没有眼睛。

People asked him: "Why don’t you draw their eyes?"

人们问他：“你为什么不给它们画眼睛呢？”

Zhang Sengyao said: "If I draw their eyes, the dragons will fly away."

张僧繇说：“如果我给它们画上眼睛，龙就会飞走的。”

People didn’t believe him. They asked him to try.

人们不相信他，他们让他试一试。

So Zhang Sengyao took his brush and drew eyes for two dragons.

于是张僧繇拿起画笔，给两条龙画上了眼睛。

Suddenly, the sky turned dark. There was wind and thunder.

突然，天空变黑了，刮起了风，响起了雷声。

The two dragons with eyes flew into the sky!

那两条有眼睛的龙，一下子飞到天上去了！

The other two dragons had no eyes. They stayed on the wall.

另外两条没有眼睛的龙，还留在墙上。

This story tells us a truth.

这个故事告诉我们一个道理。

The "eyes" are the most important part of a thing.

“眼睛”是一件事物最重要的部分。

It’s like our study. We must find the key point.

就像我们学习一样，一定要找到关键的地方。

Only in this way, we can do things well.

只有这样，我们才能把事情做好。
